Antique Jian Ware Hare Fur Tea Bowl


Antique porcelain tea bowl, thick potted in a well form, the deep rounded sides rising from a short straight foot to a lipped rim, covered overall in a black glaze falling short of the foot to reveal the brown body simulated the hare’s fur streaks. Provenance: Property or Mr. William A Russell of Westminister, Kingston Estate, Oxford, UK. Acquired in 1875, by T. Mallam & Sons
