“Harrison’s Fine Antiques & Art” – Houston’s first premier antique location in the 11,000 sq ft space located at 4310 Westheimer, is rapidly nearing the time of transferring inventory from storage to the premises.
The Grand Opening will be announced to occur no later than early October.
Houston has never had an antique store of this size that will be offering the fine quality inventory that will be presented by “Harrison’s”.
The over-all quality and condition of furniture from the 17th c to 19th c to Mid-Century will be unbelievable! Anything other than furniture is termed a “small”, and there’s hundreds of these—from the same time period range.
I and the general manager, Manny Fuentez have traveled far and wide to assemble antiques that are very different, very unusual, and hopefully near unique. And, of course, there are some mundane pieces.
The sales floor will be ever-changing. Instead of permanent walls on the floor, our walls will be on lockable wheels that will enable a kaleidoscope of changes!
Yes, no apologies, we aim to be super-upscale. However, there are always “smalls” and furniture that are of great quality, and yet very affordable. We plan to always have smalls that are deliberately under-priced—to enable that “treasure hunt” that everyone always likes!
Fine Art—yes, an extensive inventory. Original paintings, drawings, lithographs, prints. Original bronzes (from hand size, to “OMG, we need a crane!”). RENOWNED ARTISTS – including, Chagall, Erte, Toulouse-Lautrec, Don Johnson, Dali, Patricia, Addicks, Keller, Blanchard, and many, many more. (Ever heard of “Blue Dog”—yes, an original lithograph!
Parking—Always a difficulty at most retail areas. Harrison’s will offer complimentary and free valet parking, and even more special, present your parking stub and Harrison’s will stamp it comping your valet tip!!
Sales Staff—not as such. Our associates will be Client Assistants. We feel that our clients will be more than capable of making their own decisions on purchases. Our Client Assistants will provide information about items, and then be available to assist in the purchase. Delivery to vehicle or residence will be another service of the Client Assistant.
The website, www.harrisonshouston.com is still in a phase of on-going construction, but can be viewed at the present time. View it—you will be surprised.
A final mention—the unusualness and quality of our offerings is such that our prices will be fair, and they will be firm. Large items will have complimentary delivery within the Houston area.
Looking forward to greeting you to Harrison’s,
— Mark Harrison
